Each year since 1990, a deceased Upper Arlington resident who made great contributions to the city, state, or nation has been selected for inclusion in the Wall of Honor. A ceremony is held in May, when those recognized receive an honorary bronze plaque in the plaza in front of Upper Arlington's Municipal Services Center at 3600 Tremont Road.
In May 2011, the Upper Arlington Public Library partnered with the Upper Arlington Historical Society and the City of Upper Arlington to debut the online Wall of Honor collection. Library staff obtained and digitized original copies of supporting materials for each honoree, and photographs were taken of each bronze plaque. The resulting collection features images of the bronze plaques, ceremony programs, biographies, and other information for each of the honorees.
